100% English - Our powerful program improves English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through music and drama.
For the past 3 years, Near West has been using drama and music to develop Creative Thinking, Collaborative Teamwork, Self-Confidence, and of course, English. This year, we’ve added even more music into the mix for our 'Music Drama English' camp. Our inclusive process ensures that all students are able to develop their potential, have fun, and make new friends through meaningful activities.
We believe that when learning is enjoyable, students study with enthusiasm and purpose. This camp is an immersive English language experience suitable for students of all English levels, with personalized instruction to ensure every student improves.
The curriculum for this camp has been specially designed by Near West President Mike Ludwick (乐小虎), who has drawn upon his experience as a drama department head at the American International School of Guangzhou and a long-time member of the International Schools Theater Association. Mike also brings his unique background as a singer, songwriter, performer, and a pioneer in the field of cultivating creativity to this very special camp. Mike will personally serve as the Camp Director, providing coordination for the other instructors, and ensuring the overall program continuity and quality.
